ZFF gives Marawi mothers ‘buntis kits’

The Zuellig Familly Foundation (ZFF) distributed 250 buntis kits (pregnancy kits) to internally displaced mothers from Marawi City, Lanao del Sur on June 18.
This was in coordination with the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Lanao del Sur during its Health Emergency Response of Internally Displaced Population held at Balindong, a ZFF partner-municipality.
ZFF, through its Community Disaster Response Program, provides assistance to communities suffering from natural or man-made disasters and works with the affected local government units for direct and immediate relief distribution.
The kits included sanitary supplies like alcohol, face towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, feminine wash, and sanitary pads.
ZFF will also donate two sets of equipment for pre-natal checkup, including fetal Doppler, fetal stethoscope and blood pressure apparatus, as well as calcium and iron supplements.
Balindong is about 40 minutes away from the city of Marawi, the center of clashes between the ISIS-affiliated Maute bandits and government troops. Since the fighting started in May, thousands of residents have fled to neighboring towns to seek refuge.
